22 Jump Street
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller offer their second movie this year after (you might not see this coming) The Lego Movie! These two (Lord and Miller) are the current go-to guys for crazy comedy. And they have switched deftly from family friendly fare (Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs) to R-rated comedy (21 Jump Street) and back to family (The Lego Movie). Can they do it again? Probably yes.
How to Train Your Dragon 2
Dean Deblois returns to writing and directing duties for this sequel to the 2010 hit.
All I have to say is that some sequels look like they will be a serious turn for the worse and some don't. This one looks like they took the time to make another good one.
The Grand Seduction
I'm a big Taylor Kitsch fan. I don't know much about this movie. I know Taylor Kitsch is in it!
It's about a small fishing village in Eastern Canada that will have a manufacturing plant if they can only secure a doctor to live there. If they convince the doctor to stay, the jobs will come. Taylor Kitsch is the doctor coming to check it out and Brendan Gleeson is the mayor.
I still haven't found any theaters that are or will be playing it in Arizona. What a shame!
